THE DAWSON BROTHERS KEEPING BUSY

THE DAWSON BROTHERS KEEPING BUSY

The Dawson brothers have kept very busy since graduating from Saints in 2015 and 2018 respectively.

Hugh Dawson (S&A’15), is currently in the Northern Territory where he is working at Beetaloo Station, which is 760km south of Darwin. The ABC produced an excellent report on Hugh’s experiences up in the NT. Hugh describes the amazing and unique experiences of living in such a special place. He describes ‘every day as being different’ and says he would love to have his own cattle station one day.

The 7:30 Report can be found by clicking here.

On the other hand, Angus Dawson (S&A’18) began his freshman year last year at the University of California, Berkley. For the 2020 season, Angus won the ‘Most Promising Freshman’ Award for Cal Rowing. Angus also made the varsity eight boat as a freshman, which is an excellent achievement. Angus has now had to return to Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has already been up to visit his brother in the NT.

Angus was interviewed from back in Australia by Cal Rowing. This interview can be found here. Please note, the interview is in two parts.

We look forward to keeping you up to date with what the Dawson brothers are up to going forward.
